Co-Founder Born and raised in La Cruz, Guanacaste, Costa Rica, You couldn’t get much poorer, or much closer to the Nicaragua border. At 14 Years old I left home and traveled to San Jose, Costa Rica, our nation’s capital, where I found work caring for children and senior adults. Combining my love for nature and my skill as a photographer, I worked giving tours in many of the national parks of Costa Rica. In the spring of 2021, I met a wonderful man named Robert, and spent many months communicating over the internet after his wife died during covid. In the fall he proposed to me and we married. During our conversations, we both discussed working for God and helping the poor and the orphan children of Costa Rica. We applied for, and received the American nonprofit organization certification, and are currently waiting for the Costa Rica equivalent. En la primavera de 2021, conocí a un hombre maravilloso llamado Robert, y pasé muchos meses comunicándome a través de Internet después de que su esposa muriera durante covid. I lived a very sheltered life, until I dropped out of high school during the Viet Nam war to join the Navy. I became a Navy Boiler Maker, and joined a training command in New York, and started training Naval reservist. In my travels, and over my 20 year career, I visited many countries, and volunteered at many orphanages to help make a better life for them. I retired, and continued my education. ultimately teaching at a local college. Then I accepted a position at a parrot study facility and became the administrator and assistant veterinary tech. teaching university veterinary students how to treat and care for parrots. After retiring from that facility, I retired to Arizona, and purchased a 40 acre ranch, and put to practical use, my education in solar energy. I also opened a Community center to assist the local community in learning to live sustainably in the high desert. A position opened at a Christian broadcasting company, and I took two years to learn this area of communications. After many conversations, we decided to spend the rest of our time here on earth, in the service of our God. This has taken much time and effort to comply with the regulations of both the United States, but also Costa Rica.
